Can anyone help?

I'm a dummy when it comes to the sparks, here is what I've got to work with, going into Cortina rev counter clocks

It takes it's pick up from the negative side of the coil, at the clocks it may be possible to figure it out following the "trace" on the circuit board........judging by pic I'm thinking this is on MK3 facelift or MK4/5 ?

Yes mate MK3 Facelift , I've added lights on the board, so I know the two inner connections must be for the rev counter, that's all I know

I take it you're adding a rev counter dash to a car that previously just had speedo/temp/fuel gauges ?  I remember doing this to my Crusader about 20 years ago , comparing the rear of the 2 dash clock sets will help, the wire colours are possibly NOT in the same positions on the multi-plug.

Hopefully Craig will have the definitive answer  !?

Yes mate exactly, Craig has given me a bit of guidance, but not exactly sure where to move the plugs on the connector

I must admit, I prefer the older white dials.
