Stuwindsurf 4 Posted March 11 Hi, Does anyone else have issues with legroom under the steering wheel? I have a 14" Mountney steering wheel fitted to my facelift Mk3 and the only way my legs will fit under the steering wheel comfortably to operate the pedals is to let me knees fall out either side of the steering wheel which feels really odd! Is this a common thing with the Mk3's?... Speaking as someone who is 6' 2". Never had a problem and the std wheel is bigger 15.5" wide 14.5" tall. Sounds like you may be on to this, but thought I would chime in anyway. I am 6' 7", so will be moving the seat further back, as well as changing the wheel. Stoopid legs. Also I need to lower the seat, it's not a standard Cortina seat and I think sits a bit higher. Another thing I noticed is the pedals seem to sit offset to the right slightly compared to the steering column, which again I'm not sure is normal in the Cortinas 🤷♂️ Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I had the same issue as you are finding on my Capri (many years ago) which had a mountney style wheel. I figured it was cos it moved the wheel further back and thus reduced leg room.
