Beeper 85 Posted July 23 Heydrien Flux... "you over" (sic) are another one. I think I've mentioned this before. They took my renewal about a month early "to save me the trouble" and emailed me to thank me for my payment! It was about 120 quid more than the current classic policy (at the time). I called to complain and was told that "even though my car was SORNED, it "HAD to be insured, by law!" If my car was stolen from my lockup and buried in concrete by the person who took it. Once recovered, "I would be prosecuted by the police, for owning a vehicle without insurance"!!! Work that one out if you can. So I carefully explained what the word 'SORN' meant, cancelled the policy, made sure that he refunded my money and today, I am with RH. I've no complaints at all about them guys. TIB3300 455 Posted July 24 This is common practice I fear now on low value polices newer-days. I only use me car for around 6 months of the year and I tried to get a refund.. Nope! from two company's I also tried to freeze it
bortaf 96 Posted July 27 (edited) strange, my camper insurance is with flux, no issues, i've frozen it twice and even got a refund when i changed storage locations and it made the policy cheaper, they email me a montrh in advance to give me the quote and option to cancle my renewal and email me a recipt for payment a few days before the old policy ends, then again to confirm the new policy is in force ect, cant fault them really ? TBH so many companys have work from home employees nowdays i think it matters if you get a decent one or not i have with my car insurance had to ask to speak to a supervisor and they had a totally different storey and sorted my issue immediatly (inc a small refund to cover my expenses) dont ever get insurance during the summer holidays !! one broker i spoke too had cartoons on in the background and young children screaming lol, i had to ask them to turn the TV down or pass me on to somone who didnt have kids, as they work on commission they they try hard (usually) to keep you with them, some obv lie thier asses off to keep the commission and some dont have a scooby about thier job, modern frikken life i guess ? i dropped my trade policy after a year of BS from my insurance after they closed the office and went 100% home workers, the level of profesionalism droped significantly, to the point i was getting letters about somone elses policy inc private info on this other person, to be fair he did have the same name as me, his wife had the same name as my wife and he only lived a mile from me but ,,,, Edited July 27 by bortaf dyslexic
