Mk3 Corty Black Vinyl roof BRAND NEW
stormy stormrider replied to stormy stormrider's topic in For Sale
Hello mate please mail me, i have been desperate to get my hannds on one, i'll take it off your hands for you if you still want to part with it? All the best Beno OK I'm confused. After the douzens of PM's negotiating a price and arranging cheque and postage price and details etc, you said you would send a cheque straight away, over a week ago. I have PM'd you saying it hadn't arrived and haven't heard anything so I am a bit confused, do you still want it? Please let me know so if not, I can offer it for sale again. Not sure why cheque never came or why all communication stopped. Hope all is ok Cheers, Mark -
It's no good to me......it looks too nice and I would only rip it apart and do something daft to it. On a seperate note, SHREK, does your Mk4 look like your siggy in real life cos that looks awesome !

5 litre V8 Mk3 conversion
stormy stormrider replied to Cortinaphile's topic in Ford Cortina Discussion
I went for the Rover 3.5 myself cos it was less hassle.....so I thought. It is a wider block that the 5 litre. They slip in nicely. A friend of mine a few years ago put a 5 litre in his Mk3 (no pics sadly) and ran it on the cortina 2 litre rear axle which is why I am leaving mine in....but ragging will destroy it easily enough Mustang Back axle is what I will go for when my Cortina one pops. Jag is an option but I would stick with the stang. If I go for the Yank V8 in mine it will be a big block personally so that will mean engine cage...SVA...not undertaken lightly. Sorry, I digress. Be sure to uprate the brakes. Capri 2.8 Vented, drilled and grooved discs and beefy calipers would be the esiest conversion and adequate enough...might want to think about either beefier rear drums or disc conversion. Also if using the stang axle, you will have to get 2 different sets of wheels front and rear or modify the hubs. I myself have black diamond solid drilled and grooved discs as I have chrome calipers (sad isn't it) with EBC green stuff performance pads. I have raised my engine and moved it back when meant modifying the bulk head and moved the anti roll bar to under the link arms and with 2 SU's and 2 induction kits I still have 2 inches clearance with the bonnett shut. with a holley and pan filter it should sit lovelly for you. hope this helps...I'm not an expert though -
seems a bit crazy cortina concert

Engine mounts were made as a temporary measure with box section so I can move the car as we are moving in 2 weeks. The a mate is going to use those as templates and make some pucka looking mounts The exhaust system will be custom made tubular manifolds, then twin 2 inch straight through pipe into 4, 5 inch stainless back boxes.

6 months, should be finished completely now, things are moving along nicely. New temporary engine mounts made engine moved forward and up to engine it will fit under ther prop tunnel with minimal adjustment Temporary mounts templates Make way for custom tubular manifolds 3/4inch clearance for custom made rad to sit in Direct flow from the scoop onto induction filters
