  1. Anyone got a spare auto propshaft (the longer one) for a Mk3/4/5? I actually only need the rear front section if that helps at all. Cheers David
  2. Thanks, but even with heat it's not budging at all, it must be well stuck 😞 I'll stick a wanted ad up and see of anyone's got a spare. Cheers David
  3. I need to split two donor props to make a good one, first one came apart no problem at all, the other seems stuck solid. Any tips on getting it separated? Tried belting it with a hammer but don't want to go too mental in case it damages the UJ... It's the rear section I need from the stuck prop, the front is scrap so can destroy it if need be. (If anyone has a long rear section they'll sell me that might be easier 😉 ) Thanks David
  4. OK, one more stupid question, would a single piece sierra prop be any use to me?
  5. Cheers! Maybe a daft question, would joining two halves from different props together give balance problems?

    Mk3/4/5 manual prop

Ah well the car was originally an auto and I changed it to a type 9, so you're probably right about it being an auto prop. That's how I ended up with the (spare) rubber doughnut one, as I had heard auto props were too long for manual conversions... But in the end I couldn't make the doughnut one fit so had to use the original "auto" prop...
  7. Out of curiosity, what part of the Mk3/4/5 2-piece prop is the bit that's different lengths? Front or back bit? Thanks David

    Mk3/4/5 manual prop

The bearing in my prop has gone, and unfortunately it is a Mk4 non-serviceable type (see here for more info http://www.buysellcortina.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/65119-is-this-a-sierra-prop/). I did have another rubber doughnut type, but that one fouls my exhaust :( So, I'm looking for a suitable replacement, to fit a Mk3 2.0 manual. Closer to Scotland the better... Cheers David
  9. Thanks, I do have a Mk4 manual but it's for the 2.3 model and doesn't look like it covers this type of prop. Is there much to getting it stripped down? Got the circlip off but didn't seem to do much...
  10. The centre bearing on my prop went, and I've just got around to taking the prop off to start stripping it down, but it looks like I might have a non-Cortina prop fitted. There's no centre bolt, just a circlip. Does anyone recognise it from the pictures? At a guess maybe from a Sierra? Thanks David

    Mk3 interior loom

Mk3 facelift interior wiring loom (from bulkhead back), was fully working when removed, needs a connector for the fuel sender wire but otherwise looks complete. £30 posted or best offer. Cheers David
  13. Hi all, I'm after a Wolfrace 13" slot mag, I only need one and it doesn't need to look great as it'll probably only be used as a spare. Thanks David
