gheebhow 4 Posted October 29, 2023 Hello all, I'm overhauling my brakes and am a bit confused by what the Mk4/5 manual says, which is: "the differential valve assembly was fitted to early Cortina models and has now been superseded by a brake pressure control valve. The removal and fitting... is similar.. but the brake pressure control valve is a sealed unit." There's a nice drawing of the valve, with 5 brake lines going in / out. But I can't find it anywhere on my car (a 1980 2 litre). All I have from the 3-pipe master cylinder is front left, front right and rear. Was the valve only fitted to certain models, as hinted at by other threads on here? Or phased out quite quickly?? Thanks for any advice. Neil
sheffieldcortinacentre 532 Posted October 29, 2023 It was only fitted to 2.3 models .
