  11. Looked like this when I saw ... as it didnt look to bad anyway... think it was one of the things Dave wanted to get around to... where has it been, who knows?
  12. This is true think I have done it 3 times... and my mate is running around with one in his. You should be able to fit a 5 speed with no trouble having the Auto tunnel... now are you keeping the steering box or going rack and pinion.
  13. I have not seen it for a few years but deffo a genuine crayford cab.. John (LGS 11) or Nige (LHD16E) might be able to give u some more info on it but if i remember rightly that Dave was getting ready to restore it before he passed away.
  14. Well here we go... dust down the old welder and fire it up. Welded the headlight panel first Didnt turn out to bad was pleased with the panel fit Next the inner wing end.. Cleaned up the weld and some Krust slapped on it then some grey primer Hopefully tomorrow do the slam panel end...
  15. Yeah i bet u do... Hopefully I will only do the places that need a bit of welding, until then if I am happy with the engine and running gear then a major bodywork strip down. The engine colour was a bit of a mistake, added to much white but after i had put it on the block didnt look to bad.
  16. Thanks Dave..
  17. Thanks Neil... and it only started with a 50pence size blister on the slam panel.. just shows you whats hiding under the rust on top
  18. Here is the three bits i have now to weld in...
  19. Used the lip off the bonnet to repair the front edge of wing Had to snap a hacksaw blade and clamp in the mole grips (and it worked)
  20. Been waiting for the weather to change so i can get out there and do some bodywork, so today I had that chance but still been in the shed with the engine and its all painted and nearly ready for the install. Anyway here is some pics of engine and metal work i have been upto today.
