Spent a couple of hours tonight welding the roof, spot welded the front aperture and finished welding the O/S pillar joint.

This joint will be re-leaded as per original.

super job your doing there dave.

 

front wings for mk1s are getting very rare and fetch good money even in poor state.

 

ebay them and try to use something else for inners.

 

youd be helping others and you will nick a few quid.

Spent the bank holiday on the car, thought I'd get the sill sorted before attaching the rear quarter.

I shall be making a die press tool for the triangular shape, this bit has to look right, so will spend a few lunch hours at work with the die grinder.

hopefully this tool will work in a vice. Watch this space

Straightened out the N/S outer tub as there had been a poor repair before, someone pushed out the rear wing with a crow bar by the looks of it.

Lined up the N/S quarter, all good, it meets up in all the places, starting to look like a car now... Well Pleased:rolleyes: :rolleyes:
