What else are you using for sound deadening? The carpet in my taunus seems pretty loose fitting, I'm not sure if there's some of those thick fibre and rubber pads missing or can a carpet shrink? it seems too small in the footwells. Wondering if you've had to build up a certain thickness under the carpet?

So the taunus was supposed to be just a few small jobs then back on the road, well. I had a leak into the drivers footwell, so I explored the bulkhead under the heaterbox hoping it might just need new seals. Found a small hole, but too small to let in the amount of water that was pooling in the footwell. So I took off the wing, and the bonnet, and the drivers side bonnet bracket came away without unbolting it! :o I found a dodgy patch under the wing rail where it meets the bulkhead, so out came my good friend angle grinder :D So that happened... Luckily the bonnet bracket panels are available for LHD so it'll be a simple fix. Just need the weather. It's been raining since I did this!

Pretty much all the Ghia S got was, according to the brochure: Driving Lamps Revised Suspension Settings Front Gas Shock Absorbers. Recaros were for the late LS and GLS

A decent carb and maybe a 2.3 cam is about the best you can do as far as I know, they're not terribly well catered for. The 2.3 doesn't even make 120 remember.

They like to race something different so they race 100 cortinas? Totally unique that. and stripping a car is totally different, I'll never get that bit of floor pan I need from a banger racer. Or that bit of A post. The whole idea of bangering rare cars just reminds me of that one bully kid who'd stamp on your sandcastle.
