  1. Looking for some 16 spline side gears from the Atlas diff please. I dont need the whole centre diff, just the side gears please as in pic. Doesn't matter if the outer teeth are chipped or broken as long as the splines are intact. 1 set would be brilliant, 2 sets would be better brilliant !!! TIA
  2. Hi all has any one got a plug/pigtail for the pinto module in pic please. I will buy the module as well if you have both and don't want to split. Ta in advance.
  3. Run a bead of weld along it and re shape it?
  4. I have the large pad Granada calipers(sometimes called the M18) on my Zetec'd Corsair. Man those calipers are as heavy as the Princess ones tbh. but much simpler and easier to plumb in. They also fit under 13" steel wheels..but only just. I dont know if the princess ones do with their bigger radial dimension. The only thing, the bigger Granada calipers are pretty hard to find now. They were also fitted to some mk3 cortina estates and Cortina fronted p100's in non vented form. Both equally as hard to find. Here's a pic of when i mocked them up behind a Lotus steel rim very tight. They easily cleared with my Cosmic alloys though. I eventually changed to alloy hubs that add 10mm extra in the track, the steels then cleared a lot more which I've stuck with.
  5. Get the measurement from the box oil seal and diff pinion and give Neil at 105speed ring on 01234 826827 office hours. They have them made up new.
  6. Do you have any documentation that proves it was imported in 2012 though? I guess that is the point they are making.
  7. I use the vented M18 cals on my Corsair with Capri vented discs. It is very tight clearance wise for Lotus rims, but I use ali hubs which push the wheel out just that extra bit. I also have a remote servo which reduces pedal effort so the brakes i feel are pretty damn good and on a par with the modern cars i drive.
  8. You need to try the banger boys on facebook etc . Getting very hard to find now in vented or otherwise.
  9. One of the Zephyr or Zodiac clubs has recently folded too I read on Facebook somewhere. I think illness was stated one of the reasons, but possibly a lack of people coming forward to take over was probably the nail in the coffin. Our own local car club is also struggling to find volunteers to take on the various head roles needed, and that is a large club too. Sadly its seems to me the younger members ( i dont necessarily mean teens either) are not interested in taking on these roles to ensure survival. Car clubs are not alone either, as plenty of the preserved railways are struggling to find volunteers as well in all roles. I agree with Sheffield about umbrella clubs, 20 years ago it was first mooted about this in one car club I was on the committee of. Came about from the the time one particular make of car had 3 or 4 different clubs all trying to do the same thing but didn't want to talk to each other. Our club did achieve a couple of joint remaking ventures with similar make clubs, but no joined up thinking beyond that. I can see more clubs folding as the current leaders drop off if something isn't done for the long term.
  10. Andy Whitehouse is the man. Only I've not seen any recent contact details for him for ages. Was out Sheffield/Mansfield direction. Alister is his brother I think? he seems to do the same stuff maybe able to help. https://www.facebook.com/alistair.whitehouse1?sk=wall&fref=gs&dti=33737328695&hc_location=group_dialog
  11. Volvo 240 strut inserts are 20mm shorter in body length than standard mk1 Cortina/Corsair inserts. No idea on the 340
  12. Yes it is deffo the damp. One of mine sits in a carport although it does have sides the entrance is open and gets condensation in there having a tin roof. So i know i have to keep it started regularly and moving to avoid the sticking. Though even at that its has still stuck a couple of times.
  13. Think you could cause damage to clutch cover plate springs/fingers keeping that depressed for very long periods. I doubt it would harm the seals in the cylinders, as being under pressure keeps them tight in the bores. I just start mine up every two/three weeks and move it back and forth a fraction, just to keep everything free.
